HST Petition
Issue:
On July 23, 2009. the government announced their intention to merge the GST and PST into a 12 per cent harmonized sales tax (HST) effective July 1, 2010.

Status:

This HST of 12% is a proposal. It needs to be passed in the Legislature of BC and the Government of Canada. (All BC MLA will be making a decision on this for us in our BC Legislature sometime later)

Petition: This petition is mainly used to OPPOSE the implementation of HST on July 1, 2010. (please do your own research before participating in this petition, this is not an opinion survey, you join this petition because you are opposing HST. In replying to this petition, we just need your name and occupation, and please use your email for correspondence, your phone no. will not be printed)

Strategy:
Try to get as many people as possible from all walks of life who are opposing to the implementation of this HST and use this petition to voice their opposition. The final petition list will be given to all the MLA in BC who will cast their votes in deciding the fate of this 12% proposition.

Affiliation: This petition is affiliated with Chinese Realtors Association of B.C.
Targets: This Petition is OPEN to all BC citizens. We will communicate (for support) with all other organizations and Associaitions in BC. This petition list is free to distribute to other people.
